We are involved with a charity that is currently being set up in Cape Town called Junk & Disorderly, which we are hoping will be running by January 2017.  Junk & Disorderly turn material/household/building junk into art pieces, including wall hangings, sculptures, furniture and decorative objects.

We have been heavily involved in the set-up, including;

  • Funding
  • Premise negotiations
  • University places (a 3 year Bachelor`s degree) to 5 underprivileged students
  • Annual exhibitions held in the University, where art pieces will be sold
  • Ensuring all proceeds are pumped back into the programme

The charity will be based at the University of the Western Cape, which is based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.  We have established good contacts to help on this project, including a number of professors, head of departments and lecturers.  We are in the process of completing a business plan, which will be presented to the Rector and Vice Chancellor, Professor Tyrone Pretorius.

Once we have presented the business plan, we will keep you updated on progress.

If you would like to get involved or would like some more information on this, please get in touch.
